Deep in a tropical jungle school

Is a Professor who acts like a fool

“Be-you-ti-ful!” he would call

To any new student who would come to sit in his hall

He teaches a class on compassion and kindness

“Beyoutiful are each of you and that is the only lesson for true happiness”

His students learn about self acceptance and authentic living

Gifts from the heart that’ll serve them well

Ones that they’ll also carry on giving

To others and for anyone else they could tell

Stories of their Professor Toucan with Frangipani flowers on his head

A legacy that we all should try to leave in our stead

PoI: Persons of Inspiration

Persons of Inspiration Frame Shift anddnasci.wordpress.com Tanzelle Oberholster

Sometimes in life, especially during dark times

someone, be it through a spiritual guide or divine intervention,

sends you a person of inspiration.

Their timely arrival may seem serendipitous,

a strange working of synchronicity.

They meet you during a chance encounter at the mall

or you happen upon their post in the ‘recommended’ section of your reader.

They speak the truth.

Words you need to hear,

not what you want to hear.

The message is delivered by kind hands

and

accompanied by strong encouragement.

To remind us that fulfilling dreams don’t always come easy,

else everyone would already be enlightened.

Thank you to all my earthly angels and spiritual messengers who stood with me at the abyss!

The Dreamer (La Soñadora by Enya)

La Sonadora The Dreamer Enya Lyrics Translated English MindFrameShift Tanzelle Oberholster andDNAsci.wordpress

I; the autumn
I; the evening star
I have been an echo

I shall be a wave
I shall be the moon
I have been everything, I am myself

I; the summer
I; the ebony
I am the dreamer

Yo; el otono
Yo; el vespero
He sido un eco.

Sere una ola
Sere la luna
He sido todo, soy yo.

Yo; el verano
Yo; el ebano
Soy la soñadora.

Poetry ~ Too Much (Friday Funnies) by Sue Viseth

Weirdos Unite!

This is my first attempt at a reblog, so after reading up on some Reblogging Etiquette I am adding a few extra lines in here:

This is wonderful little poem by Sue Viseth over at An Artist’s Path, one I can really relate to and hence decided to share 🙂 Please make sure to pop over to her site too!

I also created a different Author i.e. ‘Reblogged Content’ to distinguish between my content, guest bloggers and the reblogged bloggers content LOL!

An Artist’s Path

They said she was
wacky and a bit
“too much”
too cheerful,
too silly,
too animated,
too wound up.
She was
a dreamer,
an artist,
a writer,
a poet,
a mystic.
But try
as they might
they could not
dim her light.
Now she haunts
the blogosphere
where weirdos unite!

My Silent Refuge: An Observation during Meditation

My Silent Refuge Mind Frame Shift anddnasci.wordpress.com Tanzelle Oberholster

The rain patters against my shell.

A distant roar of thunder reverberates against my shield.

My breath rises and falls to the ebb and flow of my mind.

Another crash of waves on my shore.

The sea of chatter pulls away once more.

Don’t indulge the nagging, let it through – in by the front door, out by the back.

Don’t serve the whispers tea, let them be.

Falling back into the silence, dust settling around my sanctum.

Another breath. Rise. Fall. Ebb and flow.

An inner sanctuary, solely mine, accessible anytime.

Truths only understood during my brief moments in silence.

Writing Journal of a Scientist: Run The Ink Dry (Drabble)

Run The Ink Dry, Drabble, Tanzelle Oberholster, aRtVerse, Typewriter, about writing, how to write, creative writing

No piece of writing is worthy of destruction – yes, it may be cringe worthy, but half-formed ideas hide between the bad grammar and spelling mistakes. These precious little insights will be nourished when the water of the muses flow. Crumbs of inspiration quickly transform into beautifully composed pieces. Never throw away any article of writing you felt compelled to manifest. Place the offensive piece of ink on paper in a dark drawer if you must. Let it grow there, like a fungus. Soon there will come a time when these little writer’s blights will provide the antidote to writer’s block.
